An active area of thunderstorms and associated cloud is present to the east of a
trough throughout much of Queensland.

A trough extends from a low near the southern coastline of WA and up north to
the Gascoyne district of WA. A few thunderstorms and mid to high level cloud are
present along and to the west of this trough.

A trough with an embedded low pressure system and associated high level cloud is
positioned to the north of Darwin.

Low level cloud is present over Tasmania and along the coastlines of Victoria
and New South Wales due to onshore flow.

The inland parts of the country is mostly clear due to a ridge of high pressure.
