A cold front with associated cloud band, is moving across the Tasman Sea.
Cellular clouds with thunderstorms can be seen in the cold air behind the cold
front over the Tasman Sea.

Low cloud is affecting mainly the southeast parts of the country and is the
result of a westerly airstream behind the cold front.

A surface trough is also causing some low clouds over the southeast parts of
Queensland.

A large area of cloud over the Indian Ocean is associated with a middle level
disturbance with patchy high cloud streaming eastwards into the southwest parts
of Western Australia.

The remainder of the country is mostly clear due to a high pressure ridge
extending from the southwest.
