Cloud with isolated thunderstorms extending from the northwest of WA into
southern parts of the NT, much of SA, NSW and southern QLD is due to a surface
and an upper level trough. Patchy high cloud can be seen streaming across the
east of the country into the Tasman Sea ahead of the upper level trough.

A cloud band associated with a cold front is evident to the south of WA while a
trough, with low and mid level cloud, is moving across Tasmania.

A high pressure system centered over eastern NSW extends a ridge along
Queensland's east coast. This is causing mostly clear conditions over areas in
the tropical north.
