A broad low pressure trough over the east of the continent connects with a
surface low over western Victoria. An extensive cloud band with embedded showers
and thunderstorms extends along this trough and wraps around the low.

A second inland trough extends north/south through WA and is also responsible
for triggering isolated convective cloud through WA and the NT's Top End.

A cold front is approaching southwest WA with an associated middle level cloud
band and pool of colder air in it's wake that currently extends back over the
Indian Ocean, evident by the speckled, cellular clouds.
