Thick cloud associated with a cold front can be seen moving out over the Tasman
Sea on Saturday evening. Behind this system is a large pool of cold, unstable
air, as indicated by the speckled cloud lying over the Tasmania, Victoria and
southern New South Wales.

Elsewhere, some low cloud is streaming onto the southern coast of Western
Australia as a high pressure system builds in the western Bight, while there is
some patchy cloud across tropical Australia.

The rest of the country remains mainly cloud free due to a ridge of high
pressure.
