A cold front and associated cloud band with embedded thunderstorms has moved
into the Tasman Sea and stretches southward to a low east of Tasmania. A pool of
cold air is moving over southeastern Australia in the southerly flow behind the

Areas of low cloud over parts of SA and southeastern WA are trapped under a
temperature inversion caused by a high pressure ridge.

A region of active thunderstorms are visible to the northeast of WA associated
with a nearby trough, however the remainder of the continent is mostly clear.

A strong cold front can be seen well west of Australia approaching the Bight.
