A cold front and associated trough stretching from south of Tasmania across the
Bight to northwest Western Australia is producing a large mass of high and
middle level cloud with some showers over southwest Victoria. The cold air to
the west of this front is producing large areas of speckled cloud in the Bight
and Southern Ocean.

A trough extends across northern WA and the Northern Territory, with showers and
thunderstorms occurring along this trough. A second trough that extends across
the Northern Indian Ocean is producing thunderstorms embedded in middle level
cloud.
