A cold front and its associated cloud band is moving across the far east of Victoria and southeastern New South Wales. Cold air convective cloud behind the front covers parts of southern Victoria and Tasmania. A little patchy high cloud also covers parts of northeastern New South Wales.
Areas of cloud over the Top End of the Territory are the remnants of afternoon convection. Most of the remainder of the continent is cloud free although patchy low cloud lies near the coast of Tropical North Queensland within a moist onshore airflow.
