Low cloud dominates over the coast and ranges of the southeast as a strong high
approaches trapping moisture beneath a temperature inversion.

Middle level cloud over the centre of the continent is caused by an upper level
trough to the west.

Thunderstorm activity is visible near the Kimberley and also near Arnhem Land.
