A cloud band with embedded thunderstorms is over southcentral South Australia and the eastern Bight region. This cloud is associated with a surface low and an upper level trough.
Low cloud in the wake of this system is over parts of southern Western Australia. High cloud streaming towards WA from the west is associated with a cold front and another low.
Low cloud over eastern New South Wales and southeast Queensland is from a strong high pressure system centred east of Tasmania. Low cloud stretches over most of the Tasman Sea.
Patchy cloud in a moist onshore airstream affects the Queensland central and north coast.
