A patchy and thin band of middle and high level cloud is associated with a jet
stream dragging moist air aloft down towards Australia.

A cold front in the southern Tasman Sea is driving a thick cloud band, with
embedded thundertorms.

Speckled convective cloud can be seen through the Southern Ocean in the cold air
behind the front.

Some low cloud is apparent over southern coast line and eastern parts of QLD.
