A low centred over eastern SA, combined with a series of surface troughs over
inland eastern and northern Australia, is producing long bands of cloud with
many embedded thunderstorms. These bands extend from the Kimberley, through
northern NT, large parts of inland QLD and NSW and onto central and eastern SA.
A few storms are also seen over northeastern VIC.

Middle-level cloud covers most of VIC and TAS and low cloud moves over southern
coastal WA and western SA in a moist southerly airstream.
