IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 1200UTC Thursday 08 December 2016 Issued at 12:31 am EDT Friday on 09 December 2016 A Cloud band with embedded thunderstorms extends across the central parts of the country due to surface and upper level troughs. Thunderstorms off the northwest coast of Western Australia are associated with a tropical low located further northwest. A cold front with an associated cloud band and embedded thunderstorms can be seen moving across southern Queensland and northeast New South Wales. The cold front extends to a low pressure system located over southeast Tasmania. Low cloud is visible along the southern coasts of the country in the cool southwesterly airstream behind the cold front.
