Convective cloud and thunderstorms are visible across the northern tropics,
associated with an active monsoon trough. A Tropical low embedded in the monsoon
trough is developing in the Gulf of Carpentaria.

A large mid to high level cloud band with thunderstorms stretches from the
tropical north towards the southeast, associated with a series of surface
troughs and an approaching cold front and low pressure complex southwest of TAS.

Moist onshore flow is bringing low level cloud to southwest WA and the QLD
coast.
