Thick cloud with embedded thunderstorms is moving through inland parts of the
Australian continent, associated with a cut-off low over South Australia and a
cold front extending north to central Australia. Low cloud is streaming up over
the western Bight in the wake of the system.

A surface trough ahead of the cold front is generating broad instability, with
thunderstorms and mid-to-high cloud being picked up by the subtropical jetstream
and moving over eastern parts of the continent.

A cold front approaching Western Australia is producing areas of high cloud for
parts of south-west.
