A lot of weather surrounds the monsoon trough and the tropical low positioned
near the NT and QLD border in the Gulf Country.

Heavy rain and squally thunderstorms are occurring over the Gulf of Carpentaria
and northern Queensland. Widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms extend
over remaining parts of central QLD and also over southern NT. Isolated
thunderstorms are also visible over The Top End.

Isolated thunderstorms over the northeast NSW is due to a suface trough along
the NSW coast.

A high pressure system over western Victoria is maintaining mostly clear skies
over much of southern Australia.

A cold front is visible approaching the southwest of WA.
