An area of middle level cloud with a few embedded thunderstorms extends over
central Australia and is associated with a slow moving surface trough. A cold
front is moving east through the southeastern parts of Western Australia. The
cold air behind this front is producing showers and thunderstorms about the
southern coast of WA.

Low cloud lingers over parts of Tasmania and southern Victoria within a moist
southerly airstream. A deep low pressure system is still rotating over the
western Tasman Sea, well to the east of Tasmania.
