A cold front and low is generating a broad area of thunderstorm activity over
the Tasman Sea.

A second cold front is generating middle to high level cloud over the eastern
parts of Tasmania and Victoria.

A third cold front is approaching the southwest parts of Western Australia with
low cloud ahead of the front affecting the area.

Low cloud over remaining southeast parts of the continent is due to a moist
westerly flow directed by a high pressure system over central parts of the
continent.

Southeast wind flow is directing low level cloud near Cape York Peninsula.

The remainder of the continent is largely cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge.
