A trough over the Coral Sea and another in the Gulf of Carpentaria are
generating convective cloud and thunderstorms across the central and eastern
tropics, particularly about the North Tropical Coast of Qld.

A cold front has moved into the Tasman Sea and a broad area of low level cloud
remains in its wake about southeastern SA, Vic, Tas and southeastern NSW.

A second cold front is approaching the southeastern states with a large band of
middle and high level cloud.

The remainder of the country is mainly cloud free.
