A cloud band associated with a cold front and trough is bringing rain to
northeastern New South Wales and eastern Queensland.

A combination of surface heating, troughs and low pressure systems are producing
isolated showers and thunderstorms across northern and western parts of
Australia.

The high pressure system over the Bight is bringing areas of low cloud to the
continent's southeast coast and Tasmania, while keeping the rest of the country
mostly clear.
