A cold front and a trough moving across Victoria, NSW and Tasmania are
generating a broad cloud band that extends over southeastern parts of the
country, with the cold air in the wake of the front identifiable by the speckled
cloud extending over the Bass Strait and western Tasmania.

Low cloud visible along the south and east coasts of the continent is associated
with moist onshore flow.

An upper level disturbance is responsible for the broad cloud band streaming
from the Indian Ocean to the south of WA.

A ridge of high pressure is keeping the remainder of country cloud free.
