A broad low pressure trough over the eastern parts of the continent connects
with a surface low over western Victoria. An extensive cloud band with embedded
showers and thunderstorms extends along this trough.

A second inland trough extends north/south through WA and is also responsible
for triggering isolated convective cloud over southern WA.

A cold front with associated middle level cloud band and embedded thunderstorms
is over southwest WA. A pool of colder air in it's wake that currently extends
back over the Indian Ocean is evident by the speckled, cellular clouds.
