IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 0600UTC Chart Issued at 6:22 pm EST Friday on 23 April 2021 A trough off the coast of northern Queensland and another in the Gulf of Carpentaria are generating convective cloud and thunderstorms across the eastern tropics, particularly over Cape York Peninsula and nearby areas. High level cloud from these systems is streaming across eastern Qld, north of Brisbane. A trough along the west coast of WA is generating a band of mainly mid to high level cloud and covers much of the southern part of WA and extends into western areas of SA. Meanwhile, a moist onshore flow is generating low level cloud along southern parts of SA, VIC, TAS and NSW. The remainder of the country is mainly cloud free apart from areas of convective cloud about the Kimberley coast and along the northwest coast of NT.
