A broad trough extends from central Queensland through northeastern NSW to the
Tasman Sea, producing a middle level cloudband and isolated thunderstorms.

A cold front with some middle level cloud is moving across western Victoria and
Tasmania, with a pool of cold air behind it indicated by the patchy low cloud.

A trough and tropical low to the north of the country are producing widespread
thunderstorms with some high cloud from these storms being brought down over
northern Australia.

While high cloud over the northwest of the country is streaming down from storms
which are located over the ocean to the south of Indonesia.
