Moisture is feeding into a surface trough off the northern NSW/southeast QLD
coast with thunderstorm activity visible. This trough is being maintained by the
cold air disturbance to its west.

The large cloud band over South Australia has now reached western Victoria and
NSW. It is due to the passage of a strong cold front, now weakening and slipping
southeastwards.

Areas of low cloud have formed over southwest WA in an onshore airstream.

The north of the country remains dry and mostly clear.
