A trough over the Coral Sea and another in the Gulf of Carpentaria are
generating convective cloud and thunderstorms across the eastern tropics,
particularly about the North Tropical Coast of Qld. High level cloud from these
systems is streaming across southeastern Qld.

A cold front is passing the southeastern states with a large band of middle and
high level cloud. A broad area of cold low level cloud follows this front.

A trough to the west generating mid to high level cloud band which is streaming
to southwest of WA.

Moist onshore flow is generating low level cloud along southern parts of WA and
SA.

The remainder of the country is mainly cloud free, apart from some isolated
convective cloud about the Top End.
