A low pressure system, ex-Tropical Cyclone "Oma", is located well east of
Brisbane. Middle to high level cloud is streaming from this system over the
North Island of New Zealand.

A high pressure system centred near Tasmania is directing a moist onshore
airstream onto the New South Wales coast causing areas of low cloud.

Patchy high cloud is over Western Australia ahead of a weak cold front.

Some thunderstorm activity has developed in the Top End and over Cape York.
