Satellite Notes for 1800UTC chart on 24 October 2014

Issued at 5:06 am EDT Saturday on 25 October 2014

A patchy middle and upper level cloud band extends from the interior of WA across northern SA. Isolated thunderstorms are visible within the band over the interior of WA. This cloud is associated with a broad area of low pressure. High cloud is streaming from this system through central Australia towards the east. Middle level cloud and isolated thunderstorms associated with a trough are present over the western Tasman sea.

A band of cloud over SW Western Australia is due to a weakening cold front approaching from the west.

Other areas remain mainly cloud free.
