A cold front moving through the eastern Tasman Sea with an associated thick
middle level cloud band sweeping over Tasman waters and parts of new Zealand
associated with the system. In it's wake to the west the cold air is evident by
the speckled cloud over western parts of the Tasman Sea.

A series of troughs and a widespread cold airmass extends across the Great
Australian Bight and extends over southern parts of SA, across VIC and Tasmania.
Extensive low level cloud and speckled cloud indicating active showers and
thunderstorms stretches across the region.

The remainder of the country is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
