A band of cloud with embedded thunderstorms extends from the central coast of
New South Wales to the Tasman Sea and is associated with surface and upper level

Patchy middle level cloud resulting from overnight thunderstorms can be seen
over parts of the Northern Territory and the northern parts of Western
Australia. Thunderstorms are still visible over the Gulf of Carpentaria in
Queensland and to the west of the Top End in the Northern Territory.

A surface low and associated trough are responsible for thunderstorms over the
southeast parts of Western Australia. 

A cold front is moving across Tasmania with high cloud affecting the
southwestern parts of Victoria.

The remainder of the country is generally clear.
