A moist southwesterly flow over Tasmania and the southern and southeastern part
of the continent is generating a large area of mainly low level cloud over
Victoria, NSW, Tasmania and over the southern parts of SA and WA.

A strong ridge of high pressure extends from WA to QLD and is maintaining mostly
clear conditions across the central and inland parts of the country apart from
areas of cloud over the northern interior of WA and over the far northern part
of the Cape York Peninsula.
