A jetstream and upper level trough is resulting in a broad mass of middle and high level cloud streaming across the continent. This mass of cloud then connects with a cold front advancing over the Tasman Sea. Scattered thunderstorm activity remains visible over the Kimberley region and northern interior of Western Australia and also the Victoria River district of the Northern Territory.
Further south, low level cloud is affecting southeast coastal parts of South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania. This is due to the passage of a cold front embedded in a westerly airstream. Cold air as depicted by speckled cloud is still bringing showers scattered showers to Tasmania.
