IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 1800UTC Chart Issued at 6:51 am EDT Thursday on 21 January 2021 Convective cloud and thunderstorms are visible across the northern states if Australia, associated with a number of separate troughs in this region. A band of mid to high level cloud stretches from the Pilbara region to the southwest coast of WA with embedded thunderstorms, associated with a surface trough. Elsewhere, a high pressure system in the Tasman Sea is directing low level cloud along the coast of eastern VIC. Otherwise onshore flow is similarly providing low-level cloud to the coasts of south QLD and southwestern WA. The remainder of the country remains mostly cloud-free.
