A band of mostly middle level cloud stretches across South Australia, northern
New South Wales and into the Tasman Sea. This is associated with an upper
trough.

Further south, a cold front is moving across the Tasman Sea and New Zealand with
mostly cumulus clouds in its wake extending westwards towards another front that
is crossing the Southern Ocean. The tail end of this front is clipping the far
southwest of Western Australia.

Onshore wind is bringing low cloud to coastal parts of the Peninsula District in
far north Queensland.

The rest of the country remains relatively cloud free due to a strong ridge of
high pressure.
