A cold front with an extensive cloud band sweeps over southeastern Australia as
it begins to slip southwards. A second developing cold front further west moving
over southeastern WA and adjacent parts of SA has an associated cloud band over
the region with distinctive open cellular cloud over the Great Australian Bight
in the cold postfrontal airmass.

The remainder of the country remains relatively clear under the influence of a
high pressure ridge.
