A trough of low pressure extends from near the Top End through central Queensland to the eastern parts of NSW, triggering isolated thunderstorms over central Queensland and northeastern NSW. Areas of active isolated thunderstorms and patchy areas of cloud cover much of Western Australia and southwestern parts of South Australia, and are associated with a broad area of low pressure. The low pressure troughs over the Bight has generated an extensive area of middle-level cloud that extends east to cover Tasmania and southern Victoria. Remainder of the country remains mostly clear.
