A trough stretches from the Top End to southeast Queensland with convective
cloud near the trough. An extensive area of mid-level cloud is streaming ahead
of the cold front with embedded thunderstorm activity.

A low over southern Tasman Sea extends a cold front to south coast of NSW.
Southwesterly airstream behind this front is bringing areas of low cloud with
scattered showers southern and eastern Victoria, and southwestern Tasmania.

In the west, a band of mid level cloud with scattered showers and embedded
thunderstorms extends over the western Bight. This is associated with a broad
low complex with its main centre near Albany.

High level jetstream cloud is crossing NSW while onshore winds are causing low
cloud along near east coast of Cape York.
