A cloud band associated with a strong, fast-moving cold front stretches from New
South Wales southwards into the Tasman Sea. Cold air with isolated thunderstorm
activity following the front appears as speckled cloud over Victoria, Tasmania
and southern SA.

An upper level trough near the west coast of WA is generating some mid-upper
level cloud. Low cloud lies along remaining southern parts of the continent in a
moist onshore airstream.

Low cloud also affects parts of Queensland east of a surface trough.
