Isolated thunderstorm activity can be seen about the northern eastern tropical parts of the country associated with an active monsoon trough. Particularly intense thunderstorm activity is associated with Ex-Tropical Cyclone "Gillian" over Cape York Peninsula and also with Tropical Cyclone "Hadi" over the Coral Sea.
Areas of cloud over WA are the remnants of overnight thinderstorm activity. Cloud over southern SA, Victoria and Tasmania is associated with a surface trough and a cold front can be seen over waters south of the Great Australian Bight.
