Middle level cloud and thunderstorms are visible about northern parts of WA and
the NT, the Gulf of Carpentaria and also southwest and eastern parts of
Queensland. Isolated thunderstorms are developing over northeast New South
Wales. This cloud is associated with surface troughs.

Patchy middle level cloud and developing isolated thunderstorms are visible
along western parts of southern WA, near a trough. Cloud over the southern
Indian Ocean, extending to the west coast of WA, is due to an upper level trough
and an approaching cold front.

A cold front can be seen moving across the Tasman Sea towards New Zealand. Cool
onshore winds behind the cold front are causing patchy low cloud over eastern
Victoria, southeastern New South Wales and Tasmania.

A high pressure ridge is keeping the remainder of the continent mainly cloud
