Areas of cloud with embedded thunderstorms covers the Kimberley region and the
Gulf Country of Qld, associated with a monsoon trough just to the north of the
country and a trough extending south along the WA coast.

The central part of the country, much of the eastern half of South Australia and
southwest Qld is also covered with a cloud band due to a surface trough driven
by an upper system.

The rest of country is mostly clear apart from areas of low cloud over north
coast of Tasmania and along the NSW and Qld coasts.
