A low pressure system is centred just off the central New South Wales coast with
associated active band of cloud with embedded thunderstorms. To the west of this
system areas of low cloud can be seen about Tasmania, Victoria and the south
coast of South Australia within a moist southerly flow.

An area of isolated thunderstorms just off the West Kimberley and Pilbara coasts
is associated with a weak slow moving low pressure system.

The southwestern, central and the northeastern parts of the country are mainly
cloud free under the influence of a high pressure ridge.
