Areas of mostly middle level cloud with embedded thunderstorms cover large parts
of Western Australia and adjacent parts of Northern Territory. These areas of
cloud are associated with a surface trough which stretches from the central
parts of Western Australia to the Northern Territory and also an upper low just
off the Western Australia west coast.

Isolated thunderstorms remain about parts of Tropical North Queensland and is
associated with another surface trough. Tropical cyclone Ola remains slow moving
well to the east of Queensland in the Coral Sea.

Areas of cloud wrapping around a weakening low pressure system in the Tasman Sea
cover parts of Tasmania, Victoria and eastern New South Wales. A few
thunderstorms can be seen along the New South Wales coast and over eastern
Victoria.
