An active trough of low pressure extends from northern parts of WA and NT to a
low centred over central NSW. A band of cloud and embedded thurndertorms covers 
the eastern and inland parts of QLD, and  off the eastern coast of NSW.

Meanwhile a cold front has moved north to reach far eastern NSW. An extensive
area of mainly low cloud covers rest of VIC, TAS and southern parts of SA and
WA.

Much of WA and the southern parts of the NT is cloud free apart from areas of
cloud over far northern WA and thunderstorms over northern half of the NT.
