A westerly airstream is resulting in low cloud across most of Victoria and
Tasmania with isolated showers and drizzle. A cold front embedded in the
westerly airstream is approaching Tasmania. Middle to high level cloud extends
over southern districts of Western Australia and the Bight while a strong cold
front is visible to the southwest of Western Australia.

A high pressure ridge is bringing clear skies to the eastern and central
interior of Australia. Further north, southeasterly winds are producing patchy
low cloud about the Queensland coast. An upper level trough is responsible for
the cloud band streaming over far north Queensland across the Coral Sea.
