A trough of low pressure persists across the inland areas of Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales. Areas of active thunderstorms and patchy areas of cloud cover much of the northern and central Western Australia, as well as northern South Australia, southern NSW and eastern Victoria; these are associated with a broad area of low pressure and a cold front with a low pressure system to the south of Tasmania. Mostly clear conditions for the remainder of the country.
