A broad area of low pressure combined with afternoon land heating has generated
scattered thunderstorm activity over western Queensland and northern interior
regions of the continent.

A trough and a cold front is moving across central NSW and into the Tasman Sea,
generating a band of mid to high level cloud with embedded thunderstorms.

Another cold front over waters south of the continent is generating mid to high
cloud extending from southern WA across the Bight to Tasmania.
