Ex-Tropical Cyclone Owen is evident over the tropical east coast of Queensland
with associated convective bands generating showers and thunderstorms.

Extensive cloud band from Queensland east coast to eastern NSW and adjacent
Tasman Sea associated with a low pressure trough extending from ex-tropical
cyclone Owen through eastern parts of Queensland to a low centred off southwest
Tasmania.

Extensive cloud also covers Tasmania, much of Victoria and southeastern parts of
South Australia.

Thunderstorms are becoming active along a trough extending from southwest WA
through the NT to the central Gulf Country in western Queensland. A separate
trough over eastern WA is also causing convective activity, though only isolated
thunderstorms as yet.

Central Australia and much of the rest of WA, except the far southwest, is cloud
free.
