A cloud band with active and vigorous embedded thunderstorms is moving through
the east of the country, driven by a cold front and surface trough that extends
from the Kimberley region in WA, through the NT and New South Wales to eastern

Thunderstorms over the Kimberley region and northwest Northern Territory are
being driven by the trough of low pressure.

A cloud band associated with a cold fron can be seen approching the far
southwest of the country.

A ridge of high pressure extends over The Bight from the west and is trapping
some low cloud over southwestern parts of WA. Conditions are clear across the
rest of the country.
