A significant pool of cold air behind this front is seen crossing the state, producing showers, hail and snowfalls to low levels. Low cloud and windy conditions associated with this system are also impacting Victoria and southeast NSW. A large area of cloud over the Indian Ocean is associated with a mid level disturbance. A trough and a cold front in the Tasman Sea are triggering a band of thunderstorms with high and middle level cloud extending over the South Island of New Zealand. The remainder of the country is mostly clear.
