A band of middle and high level cloud associated with an upper trough is
streaming south from the eastern islands of the Indonesian archipelago across
the Arafura and Timor Seas then through the NT to eastern WA, northern SA and
western Queensland. This cloud band is likely to thicken over coming days and
spread eastward and may bring some unseasonal rain to the tropics.

Further south a complex frontal cloud band is moving across southwestern parts
of WA and Tasmania as a low passes south of the continent. Associated low to mid
level cloud covers southeastern Victoria.

Scattered low to mid level cloud is seen down the southeastern coast in the wake
of a cold front in the Tasman Sea.

The rest of the continent is mostly clear for the moment.
