A high pressure system located over southeast Australia extends a ridge across
eastern parts of the country. Clear skies are evident across central and
northern parts of Australia. Southeasterly winds are bringing localised patches
of low cloud along the Queensland coast.

Further south, low cloud is visible over Victoria and southeast New South Wales
due to a northwesterly airstream.

Middle to high level cloud extends over southern districts of Western Australia,
South Australia, western Victoria, and Tasmania associated with a cold front and
upper level trough.
